More Independent

Today at Andrina's lunchtime I was doing some laundry. When I finished and came into the kitchen to get Andrina's lunch, I found that she had gotten a clean bib out of the basket, put it on, gotten her crackers and juice, and sat down at her little kiddie table to eat lunch! This was so cute that she did this all by herself! Although she did let me get her a real lunch of mac & cheese & cerry tomato halves. Well, let's see, Andrina can get food for herself now, what's next? Putting the Sesame Street DVDs into the player by herself? Oh no...

"Two Kids Funny"

This morning I took Andrina to the playground and there were two boys there playing. They were climbing and laughing and Andrina was watching them. She then told me, "two kids funny". Oh wow, another 3 word sentance and she correctly identified the number of kids that she thought were funny!

Time to Feed the Baby

Here's Andrina feeding her baby some dinner. Andrina does play with her doll, but usually only if I suggest it. When Andrina wanted to go outside after dinner tonight, I suggested that she take her baby for a walk, which she did. And when we came inside, I suggested that she feed her baby dinner and she said, "yogurt". So Andrina put her baby in the high chair and took the spoon and jar of "yogurt" out of her doll's diaper bag and fed her one bite of yogurt. Apparantly, her doll does not need to eat very much!

Counting to 9

Tonight at another county fair while changing Andrina's diaper, she counted to 9! I think that's a pretty great achievement for someone who just turned 2 years old!

First Trip for Ice Cream

Andrina went out for ice cream for the first time tonight. After the county fair, we headed over to Coldstone so we could redeem both of our coupons for free ice cream for our birthdays (mine is tomorrow!). I got Andrina mint ice cream with Oreo cookies in it. She really liked it but she likes it better when it starts to melt a little bit. I also think she could do an ad for either Coldstone or Gymboree from this picture!

County Fair

I took Andrina to the county fair last night and tonight. She saw many animals, ate dinner, and went on several rides which she loved!
Here she reminds me of my baby brother and how he loved this little car ride!
And here she is riding the little fire truck

More Birthday!

Today is Andrina's actual 2nd birthday. Tom and I took her to the zoo this afternoon and we let her open up her presents from us when we got home. She got all Sesame Street themed gifts from us as she is really into Elmo, Abby Cadabby, & everything Sesame Street. Here's some more pictures of our baby girl, who's looking more and more like a little girl every day...

Hmm...I'm not sure if she's done being a baby yet...
Andrina still looks so much like a baby in this picture

Andrina's 2nd Birthday Party!

...was a huge success! We all had so much fun yesterday! The weather was warm & sunny which was needed for the outdoor jumper and swimming fun. Everyone had a great time-especially Andrina! All the months of planning and organizing paid off! Andrina got to jump in her rented Sesame Street Playground moonwalk by herself in the morning before her nap and the afternoon party time. She absolutely loved it! She spent at least 2 hours over the courses of the day actively playing in there. In fact, when she woke up this morning, she asked for a "jumper". I told her it was gone, that we only got to borrow it so other kids could play with it too. So she asked for "jumper please"! Oh how precious that was!

I am so happy the party worked out and the weather was perfect for it. I had been worried that it would rain as the forecast said it might. This is 2 for 2 where there has been a threat of bad weather on the day Andrina's birthday party has been scheduled. So I've decided that next year we will have an indoor party, prehaps at a gymnastics school like Anne's, so that way it won't matter if the weather is bad. Then it will be less stressful for me and less work for me too. And it will be a guaranteed good time for the kids, regardless of the weather!

Here's a samping of some of the many pictures from Andrina's 2nd birthday party!
