ELMO! Well, Sort Of...

A resturant about 30 minutes away from our home had a fundraiser for cancer research and they also had Elmo there for a few hours tonight to help promote it. Well, even though Andrina said she didn't want to watch Sesame Street the other day, I had to take her there to "meet" Elmo. She was very happy to see Elmo and get to hug him! We ate dinner there and it took almost 2 hours to have our meal partly because she had to keep getting up to "go find Elmo" and then give him more hugs!

Well, Andrina may not be as fond of watching Sesame Street anymore, but she still sure loves Elmo! We're going to have to get her to Sesame Place this year. Seeing how much she enjoyed one character (in a very sorry looking costume too), I can image how much she'd like to see all of them everywhere!

Zoo Day

Andrina and I headed out to Phillips Park Zoo today. It was a nice spring day so I decided we'd spend the day outdoors instead of at her Gymboree class. Andrina and I took a walk in the garden, saw the few animals they have, had a picnic lunch and played at their very large playground. My happy little girl loved it, which is not a surprise. We'll have to go some more this year and in a few weeks, it'll be a trip to Brookfield Zoo for cousin Anne's 4th birthday party... so much fun to be had!

No More Sesame Street?

Andrina may be outgrowing Sesame Street. Which really stinks because she's not even three yet and it was something I could totally relate to with her since I watched it as a kid too. And I'm determined to take her to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania this year. This morning I put on the 9:00 showing and Andrina starting yelling, "no Sesame Street!". She actually got very upset and refused to watch it. She only calmed down after I turned off the TV. It seems that Nemo and Thomas the Train are her new favorites, although she's never watched Thomas, just played with the toys and read the books. I'm going to have to keep it that way and hope she'll still enjoy the Sesame Street crew.

Welcome Spring!

So Affectionate

I am so in love with my little Andrina. I spend practically every waking moment with her and I wouldn't have it any other way. One of the many things about her that has stolen my heart is how affectionate she is. So many times she'll be playing then run up to me, hug me and kiss me then go right back to playing. Today was a new example of this. It was her nap time I was pretty tired myself so I let Andrina take her nap in our bed with me. Andrina kept kissing me and rubbing my back! It was so sweet, I didn't even mind that she kept waking me up by doing it!
