3rd Birthday Party

For Andrina's 3rd birthday, we celebrated at Gymboree today. 3 is definately a tough age and there were some meltdowns and tears but overall her party was a success because everyone had a great time. Here's some pictures:

Fire Roasted Tomatoes

I've said it before. I don't cook that much. Sometimes I get the urge or sometimes I find a recipe for something I really want to try. I recently bought a binder for holding all the clipped and printed recipes I've collected over the years. I came across this recipe for Fire Roasted Tomatoes while organizing it and it sounded so yummy and simple to make that I had to make this one.

It was very, very good. So fresh and yummy and simple to make. I didn't have to spend hours in the kitchen to make this recipe, which makes it a keeper! I don't think I'll be able to use pasta sauce from a jar the next time I make tortellini.

Splash Park 2010

My water baby is enjoying another season of not only swimming but being back at the splash park. It was our first day there this year. I think she still loves it there!

1st Pee-Pee in the Potty!

I've taken a very laid-back approach to potty training. For months all I've asked of Andrina is that she sits on the potty at least once a day. Since she's getting closer to being 3, I've decided to implement the old M&Ms method. I don't know if the promise of the candy helped out or if she just decided on her own it was time to put something in the potty. Either way, I don't care. And I honestly don't care at this point how long it takes for her to be free of diapers. She can take as long as she wants. I haven't rushed her yet and I'm not going to start now. I don't care how many kids there are that were supposedly potty trained by the time they were 2 (and I don't know how much of that I believe either!)

Here's a big milestone for Andrina: trying on Momma's heels for the first time! I was getting my clothes out for a girls night when I found my baby girl decided to try on my shoes! Such a cutie pie! I love how she loves everything from trains & dinosaurs to babies & shoes!
