More Gymboree Fun!

I've decided to sign up Andrina for another Gymboree class. This time it will be their class play class on Monday mornings. Andrina loves her art class (which is really just us being able to spend time together while she paints and we complete projects together) and playing afterwards. Our Chicago weather is still so cold and this will be weekly opportunities for play since who knows when our weather will be consistently nice enough for us to get back to our usual activities of playing outside.

Gimme Kiss - part 2

So each of the past 4 preschool days Andrina has told me "gimme a kiss" before I leave. I love it! I love her personality and how affectionate she is!

Storytime

When Andrina was about 6 months old I took her to story time at our library. Unfortunately once she became mobile, she would no longer show any interest in it as she was too busy with her new found ability to move and explore where ever she wanted. Well, I am going to try to take her to story time at our library again. I think she will be able to enjoy it again and it will be the last one she can do with me this spring and summer as once she turns 3, story time is for the kids by themselves and not with me. That just won't work as I need more activities to do with my baby!

Gimme a Kiss

This Tuesday when I took Andrina to school, she told me, "gimme a kiss" before I left. Awww, that was so heartwarming! Well she said the same thing this morning when I took her to school. I could definately get used to this!

All Better

So today is the first day in a week that Andrina is finally better. She has not vomited or had diarrhea at all today. Her poop was back to normal and she got to have her play date with her cousins too! Now she can go back to having dairy in her diet and hopefully gain back the few pounds she lost from the stomach bug. And tomorrow she can go back to school. She's been home for the past week, gave the bug to me and Tom too. Thankfully we were only really feeling awful for a day each, and on different days so that made it much easier on us to care for her and ourselves. And I am looking forward finally having a day to myself tomorrow since Andrina is all better and can go back to school too.

Stomach Bug

It seems that Andrina caught the stomach bug that has been going around. She woke up three times last night because she vomited. All over. Which, if you are a parent, you know how that is to comfort a child who is crying because she puked all over herself, as well as to clean up. I thought at first it was post-nasal drip from her cold last week that triggered the vomiting. But she did it again after breakfast this morning so I had to call up April and cancel her plans to come over for a play date. They were already about half-way here which I feel bad about that I didn't cancel a little sooner. Poor Anne was upset that she couldn't come over to play but we rescheduled for next Wednesday so hopefully my little girl will definitely be better by then!

My Little Snugle Puppy

One of Andrina's favorite books lately is Sunggle Puppy. When we first started reading it, I told her that there was a mommy dog and her baby dog on the cover. Now when we read it, she always points to the dogs and says, "momma" and "baby". Well, tonight when she did this she pointed to the mom and baby and said that, then turned to me, touched my chest and said, "you're Momma, I love you Momma". I almost burst into tears right then and there it was another one of those perfect moments.
