Only 11.5 Ounces!
So after much trying and patience, Andrina's total of milk intake from her bottles for the ENTIRE day is--11.5 ounces! Uggh! She had two meals of solids on top of that and I did mix in enough formula powder to make 4 ounces into her cereal. But still, that is only a grand total of 15.5 ounces of milk for the whole day... I really hope she drinks more milk tomorrow. I'm going to call her doctor's office anyways. I'm sure she's totally fine but I want to check. Andrina is always happy and active as ever. She certainly looks and behaves like a baby who gets plenty to eat. And I give her those mulit-vitamin/iron drops too.

It's hard isn't it!? In my mind I always have plans for when things like this happen, but when they are actually happen my emotions about it (worry, frustration, anger, irritation, sadness, etc.) always are so much greater than I anticipated. Have you googled it? I'm telling you she's doing a "bottle strike"! Haha! I know that w/ toddlers and w/ strikes the more you push it the more they will resist. I doubt you are pushing it, but maybe she senses your anxiety about it and is feeding off of it? I know when Anne was about 12-15 months she did that to me for a while. She would refuse to eat at all-some days she'd literally eat 2 bites of food all day long-and I swear that she fed off of my anxiety. Once I was able to relax and let it go and respect her appetite (which is hard w/ those emotions and mommy-ness telling you your baby has to eat) she did much better.
My philosophy for almost everything in life is "Give it a week". If I can let go and decide that in a week it will fix itself, I am much less worried and upset about whatever is going on (sickness, phase of anne, etc.) and have an end result in mind. If it's not fixed in a week then I allow myself to worry. Usually however, everything does fix itself in a week. Hopefully Andrina is just going through a phase and will be all better in a few days. Maybe she is sick and isn't showing it at all...One time when Anne was particularly bad w/ eating, I think she had a stomach bug that didn't manifest itself w/ any symptoms. John and I had had it and we just laid in bed all day. I didn't throw up or have any cold symptoms. So maybe she has something like that. Ok, this is way too long for a comment on a blog!
