Cutting Her 1st Tooth
Tom noticed this afternoon that Andrina's first tooth has started to cut through the gum! It's a bottom center tooth (now I'm forgetting what its anatomical name is... and I got an "A" in undergrad Anatomy & Physiology too.... how embarrassing). There's about a whole millimeter of tooth visible. We were both putting our fingers in her mouth feeling her tooth and Andrina did not seem to mind too much, since we dipped our fingers in strawberry shake before doing it. But she won't let us really move her lip and look at it. It has just started to come through (it was not there on Saturday when I looked). Congrats on your first tooth Baby!

Some how I think everyone will forgive you for not knowing the name of that tooth...
:)
yeah, I'm a dork, I know!
I continue to be amazed at the similarities between our children-both in utero and afterwards. It shows me how important genetics is. I just looked it up, Anne started cutting her first tooth 1 week before her 10 month birthday. Andrina is cutting her's 1 week after her 10 month bday. Just to put it in perspective, babies normally cut their first 2 teeth at 6 months, the second 2 at 8 months and by 1 year have 8 teeth. Our kids are obviously behind that (although, it means NOTHING and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong w/ cutting teeth behind or ahead of average). I just am amazed at how our girls once again are incredibly similar....
Yep. Both smaller than average at birth, both born at least a week before their due dates. And their teeth too. By the way, tooth #2 is cutting! I'm about to post that!
