My Nephew is on his way!
I just heard from April and she is a "generous 3 cm dialated" and 80% effeced at her midwife appointment today! I just knew she was going to go into labor at any moment now! With Anne, April gave birth only 4 hours after her water broke-and that was her first kid! And with Andrina, I was 3 cm dialated the day before my water broke and I had Andrina! We both progress fast and April is having her second baby so I'm sure their little boy (it's gonna be a boy-I'm sure of it!) will be here probably before the day ends!

"Poo"
Sometimes my kid amazes me. This morning I got a wiff of her stinky diaper. When I smell it, I always ask her if she made poo-poo to encourage her to be aware of having gone and needing a diaper change. I know she's still very young to realize that she's gone but today she knew. As soon as I smelled it and before I got the chance to ask her about it, Andrina looked me in the eye, touched her butt, and said "poo". Amazing, my 18 month-old knew that she went poo! It might be time to introduce her to the little potty chair soon. Although I'm sure that complete potty-training is at least a year away, this has got to be a milestone.

Puzzle Master
Tonight I sat down with Andrina and we went through all of her puzzles one-by-one that are currently out. We dumped out all of the pieces and I watched Andrina put them all back together by herself very quickly! I'm impressed and this means it's time to get her new wodden, age-appropriate puzzles!
What Should I Call This?

Not Since She Was A Newborn...
...has Andrina fallen asleep in my arms! After I told Andrina that she couldn't watch Elmo she had a temper tantrum then wanted to be held. So I held her and typed with one hand and she fell asleep while on my lap! Not only did she fall asleep on me but she stayed asleep while I carried her to her crib, laid her down, took off her slippers, and covered her with her blanket. She's such a light sleeper that I am so surprised that she slept through all of this. She stayed asleep and naped for about 90 minutes too. Wow. I'm still stunned.
Elmo Detox
After I blogged last night and mentioned how much Elmo we're letting Andrina watch, Tom asked me how much longer we were going to let her keep watching hours of it a day! I told him that I expected her to be much better today and that we'd go back to only an hour a day if she is. Well, Andrina is definately feeling better today. Last night was the first night in a week that she slept through the entire night. She even ate breakfast this morning! Two occurances that show she's feeling better. So this morning I've been reading to her and playing with her but we have not watched any Elmo.
She did ask for Elmo and this is what happened when I said "no":
Overall, we've avoided Elmo this morning. Andrina is feeling better but she's still pretty needy. She's wanted to be held about a dozen times so far. And she's sitting on my lap with her fingers in her mouth right now.
